Delivery
of training
The training module can run from between one half day to two
days. There will be input from nominated members of the contracting
agency. The input from agencies other than HQS will be
around local implementation of the process.
HQS
input will focus on the techniques required for the peer review
process and the assessment phase of the scheme. The training
will be delivered through a variety of methods including information
giving, group discussion, and the facilitation of exercises
in which the trainees will simulate aspects of their role
during the assessment process. This will include:
· identifying evidence required to assess compliance
· the assessment of documentation and statutory regulations
· audit training and analysing information gathered
· practical tips on how to get the most from the observation
of work practices as part of an assessment,
· carrying out assessment interviews
· delivering feedback
· writing up notes from all these stages, into a comprehensive
report.
The Health Quality Service works primarily with Health
Care organisations; but the nature of this course makes it
suitable for any organisation engaged in Peer Review.
