International Standards

HQS first set of standards written for international hospitals was published in 2003. The second edition is due for publication in mid 2005.

For those who have had the opportunity of working with our overseas clients you will be familiar with the old Accred UK standards from 1997. The international standards bring together all the experience gained over the years of working in other countries.

1. the layout and style is the same as that used for UK programmes
2. they are split into key groups
3. include current UK best practice
4. use internationally recognised terminology
5. are focussed on improvement and quality
6. incorporate ISO9001:2000 criteria
