THE UK ACCREDITATION PROGRAMME

The Health Quality Service offers a unique quality improvement process designed for UK health services.

Each programme comprises a set of standards covering all aspects of health care provision, together with an organisational development and assessment process leading to external peer review and an award of accreditation. Whilst each programme is tailored to a specific service, the overall process is similar. (Click here to see the Audit page).

The HQS programmes incorporate features of quality programmes outside of healthcare including EFQM, ISO9000 and Investors in People.

They are designed to help NHS clients meet the requirements of Controls Assurance, the CNST and the NHS Plan

They are designed to help independent sector clients to meet the requirements of the National Care Standards Commission.
